The film program on Monday, November 21, begins at 11 am at Sala Troisi with one of the most attended events of the festival: “On the Silver Globe” by Andrzej Zulawski (1940-2016) will be presented as the out-of-competition film at 5 pm at Nuovo Cinema Aquila. The film was shot in 1977 and, due to the censorship during the shootings, it was finished only in 1988 with some director’s vocal comments instead of the missing sequences. Internationally little known, Zulawski saw his first preview at Cannes in 1988 which, at the time (years before Star Wars was evaluated as one of the best science fiction films ever), it was considered a visionary masterpiece. In 2016 the film has been restored and digitized.

The event is in collaboration with the Polish Institute of Rome.

At 8 pm some short films realized with the support of R.A.S.I. will conclude the evening “Artisti”. From 10 pm, some Italian directors will be presented with their short films: “Gli ultimi saranno I mimi” by Matteo Berdini (2022), “Hoppipolla” by Pierluigi Glionna (2022), “Reginetta” by Federico Russotto (2022), and “L’inusuale proposta di vivere” by Alex Ciuffardi (2022).
