RIFF 2022’s lineup is completed by the much awaited documentary “Escape to the Silver Globe” and a tribute to animated movies.

Some rare clips will be shown to the audience that is still present while the festival competition is temporarily postponed. Five animated films presented by the major European Academies will return to the RIFF lineup on Friday, November 24. Poland will receive special attention in this section as well. The animations act as a representation of the East European animation school and, ideally, serve as an introduction to the Warsaw documentary “Escape to the Silver Globe”. The epic tale of “On the Silver Globe” will be presented to the audience by the filmmaker Kuba Mikurda, who was already announced on Monday. The movie brought Andrzej Zulawski’s troubled great work to a conclusion on the final day of RIFF. On the other side, the competition will come to a conclusion at the Goffredo Mameli Library with the Pitch Day, which is just for the finalist literary works.
