The Anguane, beautiful creatures with seductive voices, are the mythical guardians of the waterways between the Dolomites and the Venetian Lagoon. “Anguane, le voci dell’acqua” is a journey into the dwellings of these legendary beings. As a performer searches for their echoes, transforming their sounds into music, biologists, speleologists, and environmental activists document the fragility of these places, increasingly threatened by pollution and land consumption. Weaving together myth, music, and science, the film offers a reflection on our relationship with water and the natural world.
