The evening of Wednesday will begin with some short films from all over the world before the awaited film by Marco Amenta and Valentin Merz.
The Swiss film “At night all cats are black” is the highlight of the Love&Pride section of RIFF 2022. It’s an eccentric movie that combines drama, mystery, documentary, and parody elements. At 10 p.m., the public will have the opportunity to speak with actor-author Valentin Merz about his film, which is one of this RIFF edition’s most distinctive pieces. However, nine international short films will be presented starting in the early afternoon, making the Swiss film just the cherry on top. The successful Italian compositions will be followed by European, South American, and Chinese masterpieces. After the foreign focus, Marco Amenta will return to the RIFF stage to present the original film “Tra le onde,” which is rather different from his previous reporting pieces.
