Director biographical note
  • “The EKSPATS” is a co-production between the USA and Nigeria, marking the first collaboration between Ron Myrick, Adebisi Adetayo, and Mbuotidem Johnson. Myrick, a veteran with over forty years of experience, has worked for Hanna-Barbera, Disney, and Warner Bros., directing projects such as “Barbie: Big City”, “Big Dreams” and “Invincible”. Adebisi Adetayo, based in Lagos, directed “Lady Buckit and the Motley Mopsters”, Nigeria's first feature-length animated film, while Mbuotidem Johnson, also from Lagos, directed “Halima’s Vote”, which was awarded at the African Film Impact Awards and selected for FESPACO.
