Throughout the course of the competition, a focus will be placed on Italian feature films, paying particular attention to the “new” directors with works such as: “Nelle fauci di Ubaldo Terzani”, the enthralling horror film from Gabriele Albanesi, centered in a world of perversion, madness, and terror that’s difficult for audiences to resist; “5” by director Francesco Maria Dominedó, a story of crime in a Roman setting, with characters seemingly ripped from the comics; “18 anni: il mondo ai miei piedi” from Elisabetta Rocchetti, an unquestionably low-budget work (realized for only ten thousand euro) that takes a different look at the world of today’s adolescents; and finally, “L’erede” by Michael Zampino, which focuses on a spiral of suspicions in which an inheritance leads to unexpected situations.
