A sumptuous farmhouse isolated in the Lazio countryside. The family has almost finished dinner. No one has much to say to each other except a few sentences. A clatter of dishes being knocked over in the kitchen, then the maid returns held by the throat by three men, armed and with pig masks stuck on their heads. They are there for the safe. And the safe is connected to a time delay. It won’t open for an hour. You have to wait. Sixty very long minutes. But the wait turns into a massacre game: nothing is as it seems and the question about the real contents of the safe will be only the least of the problems. Because in that house everyone hides a secret, everyone knows only a piece of the truth. And, above all, because none of them can imagine what unpredictable event awaits them.

Italian director who prefers the tone of comedy, Massimo Cappelli, after a degree in Law, decided to pursue his passion, cinema, and try to turn his dream into a profession. He began his apprenticeship by directing short films. His first, made in 1999, was entitled “Toilette” and won him the prize for best original subject at the Kurzfilmfestival in Berlin and that for best short film at the Maremetraggio festival. After directing “Il Sinfamolle” (2000), the director gave birth to another short film, “Ampio, luminoso, vicino Metro” (2001), which earned him the Cinecittà Digital 2000 Award for a short film to be made with new digital technologies, together with five other works by five other Italian directors, all of which were appreciated at the Berlin Film Festival and presented together in Sei come sei (2002). After two new shorts, Cappelli made his feature debut with “Il giorno + bello” (2006). His second feature film is the farcical comedy “Non c'è 2 senza te” (2015), which again focuses on a family, but this time a homosexual one. 2016 saw the release of his third feature film, “Prima di lunedì”, starring Vincenzo Salemme, Fabio Troiano, Martina Stella, Andrea Di Maria and Sandra Milo. A wild comedy on the road from Turin to Naples. The protagonists' adventures, between more or less improbable loves and daring chases in circuses, hotel suites and discos, revolve around a mysterious chocolate egg that absolutely must be delivered... before Monday. In 2020, he directed his fourth film “And Goodnight”, which was released in 2022. The film was selected as one of the three finalists for the Golden Globe Award for Best Comedy of 2022. In 2021 he made his fifth feature film, released in 2023: “Prima di andare via”. The story of a young love undermined by the illness of both. Or maybe not.
