The Festival of Young Cinema of Ustica is a project born from the desire of the Rome Independent Film Festival. It will begin September the 1st, in 2016 and will be spread over three evenings; each evening there will be the presentation of an Italian feature film, to follow aswell as a meeting with discussion between the audience and the authors of the projected works. Below are the works presented by the RIFF and screened during the three nights of the Festival: Feature films: The Elevator, Massimo Coglitore; Ristabbanna Cardillo & De Plano. Documentaries: Salva la cozza of Ascanio Petrini; Il fattore umano of Matthew German, Francis Rossi. Short Films: Ahlem of Alessandra Pescetta; Due piedi sinistri of Isabella Salvetti; L a paralisi of Gianni Costantino; L’uomo pietra of Luca Scivoletto; Memories of Vincenzo Alfieri. During the festival, every night, there will be shown an Italian feature film followed by a meeting between cast and the public; likewise, different places, pubs and bars host nightly screenings of short films and video clips. The Festival of Young Cinema of Ustica is an event that makes the film art visible and accessible to all citizens. The last of the three evenings, the projection of the film, followed by the awarding of the winning short film which will be for the opportunity to produce his work. In the evening, the closing will be accomponied with music.
