RIFF Presents American out of Competition Sectio

Awol, directed by Deb Shoval, tells the story of a young woman, Joey, who searches for an address in her small town. A visit in recruits weapons office seems to provide her a way to follow, until she meets Rayna and falls in love with. This path diverges at unexpected directions.

Mitsuyo Miyazaki presents another love story in Where We Begin. The film is about a woman who remembers the past. An extraordinary story of the passion of two souls and memories.

The Truth About Lies, directed by Phil Allocco, tells the story of Gilby who finds himself lost in a network of lies when the truth seems to be too “real” to admit and even too difficult to accept.

Finally, Wildlike, directed by Frank Hall Green, tells the story about a teenager who runs away from home because of unsustainable family conditions and helps a man who is preparing himself for an excursion through the wildness of Alaska.
