On Wednesday the RIFF will dedicate an entire day to Afro-American cinema and culture. After the halfway point, the festival is ready to present the second part of its catalog with the Black Films Matter program dedicated to recent Afro-American political cinema.

On Wednesday 24 November the Festival will again open its screenings at the Nuovo Cinema Aquila, where a series of foreign short films will show to the public the new Romanian, Chinese and Colombian cinemas. The Chilean documentary Everything at Once will be staged at 6:15 pm, paving the way for the key event of the day: the Black Films Matter review, dedicated to recent African-American political cinema. Introducing the double screening will be Lapo Gresleri, author of the very recent Body and Souls, and ready to intervene on the RIFF stage to first present I’m Fine (Thanks for Asking!) By the Americans Kelley Kali and Angelique Molina – and finally Judas and The Black Messiah, directed by Shaka King and already triumphed at the last Oscars 2021.
