On Wednesday, November 26, starting at 4:30 PM, the Nuovo Cinema Aquila welcomes a new group of international short films. Meteoric, by Irish director Paul Ó Muiris, constructs a dimension suspended between reality and perception; Anima, by Canadian director Fabio Bonvicini, explores the boundaries between consciousness and nature; A Tender Dream by Turkish director Nazli Eda Noyan is a delicate animated fresco that investigates emotional memory; The Hunger by Chinese director Ma Yuehan explores desire and deprivation with essential language; while Tiny Film About Rape by Czech director Nebe Motýlová condenses violence and trauma into a few minutes through a direct and necessary narrative.
At 6:00 PM, Francesco Leprino’s “Dialoghi della terra dei ghiacci” (Dialoghi from the Land of Ice), a documentary that blends travel, landscape, and exploration of the Arctic imagination, is presented. This is followed at 8:10 PM by Sole Tonnini’s “E se mio padre” (And if My Father), starring Claudia Gerini and Massimo Ghini, a film that examines family bonds through the lens of absence and return. The day concludes at 10:00 PM with Christian Yari Schembri’s “R – Evolution. The Roman Hip Hop Family Revolution,” a journey into Roman hip hop culture, its roots, and its protagonists. All screenings will be accompanied by the directors and cast members present.
