In 1960s Milan, amid Italy’s economic boom, Maria Boccuzzi, known as Marinella, is a young Calabrian woman chasing redemption. At 16 she runs away for love, but the choice leads to loneliness, exclusion, and broken dreams. Drawn into prostitution yet still dreaming of being a dancer, she’s killed by a mysterious man.
