Director biographical note
Sergio Scavio, born in Sassari in 1976, directed his first short film, "La Notte di Cesare (The night of Cesare)" (2018), after a career divided between cultural commitment and teaching of cinematographic subjects. The short film premiered at El Gouna Film Festival and was in competition at Go Short Int. Short Film Festival. He has directed several festivals and film shows in Sardinia, he is president of the historic cineclub Aguaplano in Sassari. He founded and directed the Scuola civica di cinema in Sassari. He taught at the Faculty of Communication Science in Sassari (lab cinema) and "film theory and analysis" at the Accademia delle Belle Arti “Sironi” in Sassari. He was a member of the Sardinia Film Commission board of directors.
