On behalf of the remarkable French film industry, “C’est mon Homme-Loving Memories” by Guillaume Bureau, will debut at the international competition of RIFF 2022 for the Institut Français Centre Saint-Louis. As the Institut Saint-Louis has been a model for the dissemination of culture and for the French media in Rome for years – it also has a space periodically dedicated to French productions – the Institut will play a prominent role in presenting the premiere of one of the most anticipated works of the Festival: “Loving Memories”. This ambitious film, shot on a considerable budget despite being an independent production, will be presented to the press and the public on Friday, November 18, in the Institute’s private room in Largo Giuseppe Toniolo, by the director himself who will also describe his career which, since this production, has focused on short films.
Shot in post-war France, the film tells the story of Julie, whose husband has been reported missing, but who finds him again thanks to a newspaper photo. The man has lost his memory and the woman herself, when she brings him back home, begins to doubt her own memories.
