“Ninetta’s house” is about a luminous and special woman, Lucia’s mother, who is an artist and has a relationship of great love with her mother. Cared for by three carers because she suffers from Alzheimer’s, she lives in a house in Naples, where Lucia goes to visit her whenever possible. Lucia’s voice-over guides us through the family’s story, moving from the present to the past and following the flow of memory. In Ninetta’s past there is Alfonso, the great love of her life, a fascinating man, but with dark implications. An overwhelming love, but also toxic. A story of loves, those of Ninetta and her daughter Lucia, not always happy. But everything is told with lightness and joy, because this is a Neapolitan story: with its music and its pastel colors, because Ninetta is made of music. In the film we hear the original voice of Ninetta who, singing ancient Neapolitan melodies, punctuates the chapters of the story.
