The movies are mostly centered around couples and families. “Arctic”, by Gabriel Velazquez, has been awarded in Berlinale and Toulouse Cinespana as well as nominated in the Chicago International Film Festival in 2014.
“Hermosa Juventud” by Jaime Rosales, was awarded in the Cannes, Lisbon & Estoril, and Toulouse Cinespana film festivals besides all other prizes it has received so far in Turia Awards, the Cinema Writers Circle, Gaudi Awards, Goya Awards, Jose Maria Forqe Awards, and Feroz Awards. This movie relates the story of the Natalia and Carlos, who are in love while struggling to survive in the Spain of the time.
On the other hand, “La Mosquitera”, by Agusti Vila, mainly revolves around the problems of a family. It has won 7 awards so far in Gaud awards, Ibero-American short film competition, Jose Maria Forque, 2 in Karlovy vary International Film Festival and 2 in Valladolid International Film Festival.
“Stella Cadente”, by Luis Manarro 5 times awarded and 15 times nominated will also be screened. It beautifully narrates the story of Amadeo, the King of Spain during his 3 years of reign.
