EVENT INFORMATION

In partnership with RIFF, Roma Videoclip has awarded the Special Videoclip Prize to the work “Corde Scoperte” by Laura Mirò and Daniele Savelli, directed by Tommaso Calibotti.

“Corde Scoperte” was born in August 2025 from the meeting of two singer-songwriters, Laura Miró and Daniele Savelli, united by a passion for Italian singer-songwriter music and an authentic, stripped-back approach to performance. The project offers a journey through the Italian singer-songwriter tradition—reinterpreted acoustically via voice and guitar—blending intimate atmospheres, minimalist soundscapes, and emotional energy. Alongside songs by great Italian artists, “Corde Scoperte” also presents original material, weaving together stories, imagery, and personal experiences into song. It is an acoustic duo with a rock soul, where guitar strings and emotional chords intertwine in a space that is direct, sincere, and free of artifice.

Now in its 23rd edition, “Roma Videoclip – Cinema Meets Music” is the premier national event of its kind. Conceived and directed by Francesca Piggianelli – President of the cultural association Romarteventi – the festival pays tribute to artists, directors, music videos (including those derived from films), composers, live film-concerts, productions, and music-related books. The initiative also extends to the “Roma Videoclip in Tour – Indie Section,” featuring screenings of music videos from across Italy and beyond, culminating in a grand finale attended by artists, directors, and producers. Roma Videoclip aims to celebrate the synergy between cinema and music and to champion the music video as a form of expressive art-a “micro-film.”
