“Lucie”, directed by Ran Li (Czech Republic/China), is the story of a teenager who seeks revenge from her boyfriend. Although this journey seems to be easy in the beginning, it becomes difficult to come to an end.
In “Pantheres” by Lydia-Maria Emrich (Germany), Mara jumps down the river in the middle of the night to commit suicide. As soon as she wakes up the next day, it seems as if something has gone wrong. The jump does not kill her; but it brings about change into her life.
Beth, the protagonist of “present” by Meg Campbell (UK), struggles to balance her responsibilities as a tutor and a mother meanwhile her sister starts to show symptoms of early Alzheimer.
“Victoria Rosana Maite” by Inaki Velasquez and Pamela Hurtado (Chile) narrates the story of a conservative lesbian lawyer who faces relational crisis after her daughter is discriminated at school.
