American distribution companies have found a new way to let people know Independent Film industry. This technique is called Day and Date and this year it will be used by RIFF to release two productions at the same time on indiefilmchannel.tv. It is a video on demand program which is available on tv and online. In this way, you can use it at home, with your television as well as with your tablet and on cinema’s screens too.

After the big success of last year at the Berlin Film Festival, this year the RIFF suggests an LGBTQ film. This year many LGBT movies are running for several awards: the importance of this topic demonstrates the curiosity that many directors have on it and so the public.
If cinema is synonymous of actuality and it represents the society’s development, so the promotions of these kind of works is necessary and this is what the RIFF is up to do.
