1976-2016. 40 years of Strike Art. Galeazzo Nardini, an eclectic and original figure of contemporary art, lived through the 70s and beyond, while actively participating in the international art scene. In 1973, he was the first artist to self-exhibit his work in the Louvre, a gesture later echoed by Banksy. In 1976, taking a stand against the exploitation of artists and censorship, he gave birth to the innovative idea of “Art Strike”. He closed his gallery studio “M3 151 Spazio Alternative 2” in Montecatini Terme and stopped selling his works, but never ceased creating hundreds upon hundreds of them, continuing to compose, write, paint, and draw a single subject: the word “STRIKE.
