A daughter travels back home to visit her mother for the weekend. However, during her stay, unexpected events force them to reflect on themselves and accept their current relationship, even if it is not the same as it was before.

Director biographical note
  • “Mama’s Love Bird” was inspired during a visit to my grandmother in the Czech Republic. I noticed how being lonely can significantly alter a person’s behaviour and have lasting effects on someone’s mental health. I began wishing to return to how it was in the past, mourning for the grandmother I once knew. The film explores memory, loneliness and the complexities of family bonds.
