The story takes place on Brazil’s violent border with Paraguay – the heart of Brazilian agribusiness. It follows the struggle of the Guarani-Kaiowá people for their lands, in Mato Grosso do Sul, which are the object of dispute by large rural landowners.

Laura Faerman directed "Operação Cavalo de Tróia" and "No Traço do Invisível", shown on Brazilian and Latin American tv and at film festivals. She researched and registered the Indigenous National Truth Commission, which investigated for the first time the violations of rights committed by the Brazilian State against indigenous populations during the Brazilian military dictatorship. Based on this research, she directed and edited, with Marina Weis, the tv series "Memória Perigosa" and "Vento na Fronteira". She works in the audiovisual editorship of "The Agrobusiness Watch". Marina Weis directed five short films and as a photographer, producer and editor has participated in numerous others. "We Others" (2014) is her first documentary long length film. She directed and photographed the series "The Dangerous Memory". "The Wind Blows the Border" is her second feature-length documentary work. She currently lives in Berlin, where she interweaves film work, education and urban permaculture into her daily practice.
