The work of a miscellany of eclectic composers are featured in the various films in competition at this years Festival, giving an immersive sonic experience through their films’ perfect sounds.  Each with their own originality, these composers add enormous value to their respective cinematic works, underlining the sensory importance of their role.
The following lists the artists who produced and edited the music of the Italian features presented at RIFF 2011:
Louis Siciliano with “5”
Siciliano is considered one of the most eclectic figures in the Italian musical panorama.  His poetic sounds result from a synthesis of a wide variety of compositional techniques, searching to fuse Western musical thinking with that of the East, with various musical languages that he wouldn’t hesitate to integrate with a symphonic orchestra or in personally synthesized electronic music— for which he was a pioneer in the 1990s. In recent years, he has produced, composed, orchestrated and mixed scores for directors like Alessandro D’Alatri, Fabrizio Cattani, Mohsen Melliti, Enrico Oldoini, Maurizio Zaccaro, Alessandro Greco, Giorgio Arcelli Fontana, Alfredo Arciero, Francesco Costantini, Katrin Bohr, Alessandro Aronadio, Francesco Maria Dominedò, Salvatore Pisciscelli, Aureliano Amadei, Claudio Malaponti, Gabriele Salvatores and many more.
