RIFF again shows its versatility. RIFF collaborates with Young European Cinema On the Move, the organizer of “Imagining Europe” (an audiovisual lab that discusses the use of cellphones). “Imagining Europe” is a part of the activities of Young European Cinema On the Move, a project throughout Europe that was co-founded by Directorate General of Communication for the European Parliament. It takes place from March to September 2014 in Italy (Rome), Spain (Minorca), and Croatia (Ston and Dubrovnik). In each location the Young European Cinema On the Move, in collaboration with local festivals, brings representatives of the European institutions to its audiovisual workshops, film screenings, and discussions. Have your say on Europe. These activities allow debate on an important topic in Europe: In Italy: Gender equality and equal opportunity; in Spain: intercultural dialogue and integration; in Croatia: sustainability, the environment, and food security. The program also provides screenings of four films, including DIE FREMDE, the winner of the European Parliament’s 2010 LUX Awards.
