Food and cinema during RIFF 2016 in collaboration with KINOOKUS FOOD FILM FESTIVAL

KINOOKUS FOOD FILM FESTIVAL will take place on 20th of November at 8.pm in Cinema Savoy. Fishermen’s Conversations, directed by Chiara Bove Makiedo, tells the story of the  Mediterranean island of Hvar, the ode of a young woman for her grandfather and portraits a group of men who fight for maintenance of traditional fishing in life.

Afterwards, telling the story of “ordinary” men and women who dedicate their creativities to overcome the current socio-economic crises, The Power of Red Gold, the iIalian film winner of the last edition of the festival will be projected. The movie is about Rocco, an unfriendly  farmer who suffered from fulminant backache while hoeing his ground in his field which obliges him to stop working forever.
