There is our Nocturnal Nocturne, the story of a bizarre relationship with Riccardo De Filippis and Martina Querini, directed by Gianluca Granocchia, a graduate of the Experimental Center of Rome. We have the Russia of Autumn 35, a visionary short film with thriller nuances by the student Daria Elkonina; Sweden’s Melanie, a small jewel and a disruptive coming of age by young director Lisa Meyer. Then we have to fly to Poland with the intense relationship between a mother and a daughter staged by Michal Hudzikowski and in Belgium by the director Setareh Samavi who tells (and tells) about two women who find themselves facing the past. And we don’t stop! There is the Noa Israel of the young Dekel Nitzan alumnus of the Berlinale Talents, up to Germany and the sci-fiction Jupiter by Benjamin Pfhol, who returns to RIFF with his new short film after having participated with Ghost in 2018.
