4-lungometraggi-in-concorso

4 Italian in-competition feature films travel to Italy along with stories of eviction, crime, new friendships and insecurity.

The film “Da che parte stai”, directed by Francesco Lopez, is about a southern city in which old inhabitants are evicted. Furthermore, the film “Girl In Flight”, directed by Sandra Vannucchi, tells the story of an eleven-year-old girl, Silvia, from a small city who, one day, takes a train to Rome alone. When asked by a woman who sits next to her why she is alone, Sylvia answers that her parents are very modern and they let her do what she wants. In the train, Silvia meets a thirteen-year-old girl, Emina, and follows her until she disappears inside the central railway station of Rome.

“Gramigna”, directed by Sebastiano Rizzo, is about a child from a family with so many problems. Luigi, Diego’s son, is one of the most powerful criminals, who till now has been serving a life sentence. Therefore, Luigi has seen his father only in jail. Hi is forced to deal with the good and the bad; he is stuck between “provocateurs” of wrongdoing and “guardian angels” who warn him against the risks and urge him to study and work.

Finally, there is the film, “Sex Cowboys”, directed by Adriano Giotto. It is a journey of our generation destined to live without a permanent job, fixed home and defined lifestyles. The characters of this trip are nomadic, uncertain and immature. This generational crisis is present today in the current generation and we have to find a way to survive on it and make our dreams come true.
