He was from Gavorrano, in the Maremma area in Tuscany, where he worked as a clerk in the pyrite mine owned by Montecatini, later known as Montedison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 1969 he was transferred to Settimo Torinese where he became the Personnel Manager in Farmitalia. Those were the years of the bitter social and political struggles that later led to the Terrorist and Red Brigades season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
