The festival continues with Red Dust by Karin T. Mak about the damage caused by cadmium in Chinese battery factories.&nbsp; If not treated, cadmium poisoning can lead to renal failure, cancer and death. The film eviscerates a hidden side of China\u2019s developing economy and highlights the resistance and courage of the workers who fight illnesses and demand justice from local governments and global businesses. Friday\u2019s final documentary is Loro della Munnizza from directors Marco Battaglia, Gianluca Donati, Laura Schimmenti and Andrea Zulini.&nbsp; The film tells the tormented history of the \u201ccenciaioli\u201d of Palermo, professional recyclers who, for generations, have descended upon the city in their Apecars to collect the \u201cmunnizza\u201d refuse for reuse and resale. This recycling has, for years, provided work for more than 400 families and a valuable ecological service for the citizens.
