Si inizier\u00e0 alle 16.20 con <strong><em>A step without feet<\/em><\/strong> di <strong>Lydia Schamschula <\/strong>e <strong>Jeremy Glaholt<\/strong> (Germania 2018). Un documentario sulla condivisione della cultura attraverso temi universali quali la musica, l\u2019arte, la famiglia e l\u2019amicizia. Sullo sfondo di in inverno berlinese sono messe a fuoco le vite di sette siriani esiliati dalla loro patria. Un lavoro contro il pregiudizio e gli stereotipi proposti dai media e contro la \u201cdeumanizzazione\u201d che ne deriva.<br \/>\nA seguire: <strong><em>Everyone on stage<\/em><\/strong> di <strong>Frederic Even<\/strong> e <strong>Louise Mercadier<\/strong> (Francia 2018). Il centro medico professionale di Colombes accoglie 35 adolescenti con disabilit\u00e0 mentali. Questo documentario segue la vita di 10 di loro che svolgono attivit\u00e0 in un circo, dalla preparazione alla performance davanti al pubblico. Un lavoro sull\u2019 inclusione sociale a partire dalla disabilit\u00e0 che pone l\u2019accento sull\u2019accettazione e sul riconoscimento che la differenza pu\u00f2 essere una ricchezza sociale.<br \/>\nPer i <strong>documentari italiani<\/strong> in concorso <strong><em>After Prayers<\/em><\/strong> di <strong>Simone Mestroni<\/strong> che <strong>alle 18.20<\/strong> di <strong>venerd\u00ec 16<\/strong> presenter\u00e0 il doc al pubblico del festival. Il regista da tempo vive e lavora in India portando avanti progetti in ambito antropologico e visuale. Per anni ha condotto una ricerca etnografica di lungo termine nel Kashmir indiano, incentrata sulle dinamiche identitarie legate al conflitto. <strong><em>After Prayer<\/em><\/strong> mette a fuoco la vita nel Kashmir indiano che procede intrecciandosi all&#8217;ordinaria violenza legata al conflitto indopakistano. Scandita dal canto dei muezzin ogni storia prende una svolta inaspettata nei pressi di una moschea, nelle fasi immediatamente successive alla preghiera. Ancora oggi il sogno di un kashmir indipendente, e con esso l&#8217;incubo del conflitto, si perpetua generazione dopo generazione, alimentato dal sangue di nuovi martiri.<br \/>\nChiude la prima giornata del<strong> RIFF <\/strong>il doc in concorso<strong> <em>The Fifth Sun <\/em><\/strong>che sar\u00e0 presentato alle <strong>22.20<\/strong> da <strong>Cristiana Pecci<\/strong> e <strong>Matteo Maggi<\/strong> una coppia di registi italiani che lavorano, da pi\u00f9 di un decennio, con il nome di \u201cColdfocus\u201d.<br \/>\nViaggiare \u00e8 una forma di vagabondaggio o un percorso interiore che ti completa quando finalmente raggiungi la meta? I registi rispondono con un film documentario sulla Wanderlust, quell\u2019irresistibile desiderio di vagabondare, che per alcuni \u00e8 una sindrome da ricercare nel gene DRD4, per altri il dono di chi \u00e8 nato per esplorare. Decidono cos\u00ec di seguire Panu, un viaggiatore finlandese, in un road trip dalla Finlandia all\u2019Australia alla rincorsa di un&#8217;eclissi totale di sole.
