The RIFF<\/span><\/span><\/strong> goes live on <\/span><\/span>November 19 and 20<\/span><\/span><\/strong> with a strong focus on the documentary <\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/strong>On Monday 19th the festival will be dedicated to the cinema of the real, to short films and meetings. <\/span>Starting at 4.20 pm, <\/span><\/span>No me desperteis<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/em> will be screened <\/span>by Sara Fantova (Spain, 2018), <\/span><\/span>Summer<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/em> by Lynn Laor (Israel, 2018), <\/span><\/span>Cat Noir<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/em> by O’Neil Burgi (Switzerland), <\/span><\/span>Chimney Man<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/em> by Meghdad Akhavan (Iran, 2018), <\/span><\/span>Guaxuma<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/em> by Damien Megherbi (France \/ Brazil, 2018) and <\/span><\/span>Sunscapades<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/em> by Ben Mitchell (UK, 2018).<\/span><\/span>
\nSpace then to the documentaries in competition. <\/span>It starts at 18.20 with <\/span><\/span>The Old Cat<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/em> by <\/span><\/span>Xavier Labruy\u00e8re<\/span><\/span><\/strong> and <\/span><\/span>Bernard Louargant<\/span><\/span><\/strong> (France \/ Argentina, 2018) dedicated to the work of Carlos Regazzoni who creates monumental sculptures recovering materials from old locomotives and other railway materials.<\/span><\/span>
\nAlso on <\/span><\/span>Monday 19<\/span><\/span><\/strong> at 20.00 <\/span><\/span>RKM Rome Kaputt Mundi<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/em> (Italy, 2018) by <\/span><\/span>Francesca Picozza and Andrea Santoro<\/span><\/span><\/strong> who will introduce the doc in the room, tells the contemporary art scene of the capital so far from the stereotypes that have represented it until today.<\/span><\/span>
\nAlle 21.30 Le Periferie di Roma e il Movimento democratico<\/b><\/em> diretto da Enzo De Camillis<\/strong> (Italia, 2018). Le periferie di Roma dal 1947, con l’ex sindaco di Roma Francesco Rutelli, Roberto Morassut, Marisa Rodano, fondatrice UDI (Unione Donne Italiane) nel 1943, fino agli anni ’70 con i sindaci Argan, Petroselli e Vetere, a confronto con l’abbandono delle periferie della politica di oggi e arricchito con immagini di repertorio dell\u2019Aamod. A ridosso della proiezione Enzo De Camillis <\/strong>incontrer\u00e0 il pubblico del cinema del Pigneto per rispondere a domande e curiosit\u00e0.
\nAlle 17.00 nuovo appuntamento con il Country Focus Spagna – Operas primeras<\/b><\/em>: donne cineaste dedicato alle opere prime al femminile con Esquece monelos <\/b><\/em>di Angeles Huerta <\/strong>incentrato sul fiume che si trova sotto le strade di A Coru\u00f1a, dimenticato da molti ma che di tanto in tanto straripa reclamando quello che una volta era il suo corso.
\nAlle 20.15 per il concorso dei lungometraggi Kilikis…The Town Of Owls<\/b><\/em> di Azlarabe Alaoui Lamharzi<\/strong> (Morocco, 2018) sulla citt\u00e0 di GUFI una comunit\u00e0 residenziale isolata situata sulle montagne dell’Alto Atlante. \u00c8 abitata da famiglie e guardie di un campo di prigionia politico segreto, che \u00e8 rimasto fuori dalla storia per molto tempo fino all’inizio degli anni ’90: una prigione titanica in cui sono detenuti tutti, inclusi guardie e residenti. Il film sar\u00e0 introdotto dal regista e sar\u00e0 preceduto dal corto Peccatrice<\/b><\/em> di Karolina Porcari (Italia, 2018).
\nThe day closes at 10.30 pm another document dedicated to the controversial fascination of <\/span><\/span>Rome<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/em> Capital <\/span>167\/62<\/span><\/b><\/em> by <\/span><\/span>Carlos Higinio Esteban<\/span><\/span><\/strong> (Spain \/ Italy, 2018) in the presence of the director. <\/span>In the ’60s and’ 70s on the outskirts of Rome, ambitious urban projects for their quality and for the number of lodgings took place with the protection of Law 167\/62. <\/span>The doc explores in detail the relationship between exemplary projects that lead to the conception and execution of these urban developments and their consequences.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
