On Monday 18th of November at the RIFF \u2013 Rome Independent Film Festival at the Nuovo Cinema Aquila we will be meeting with the focus on Ukrainian Cinema. At 22:10 Arkadiy Nepytaliuk\u2019s \u201cThe Strayed\u201d (Pryputni) will be screened, a dramedy about three generations of women, where the criminal subject intertwines with the everyday life of a small Ukrainian country. Thanks to irony, absurdity, expressive characters and beautiful landscapes, the film won the Odessa International Film Festival and the Ukrainian national prize \u201cZolota Dzyga\u201d for best actress of Nina Naboka.<\/p>\n
At Italian documentaries at 20:30 \u201cAnbessa\u201d from the talented Italian-American director Mo Scarpelli, will arrive at the festival together with model and actress Tezeta Abraham and some members of the Ethiopian community in Italy. The doc. which debuted at the Berlinale 2019, tells the story of a boy who elaborates the myth of \u201cprogress\u201d modernization in his own way, revealing a unique and magical perspective that involves us all.<\/p>\n
For the international feature film competition at 20:30 directly from the Rotterdam International Film Festival arrives the film by the american brothers Michael and Thomas Matthews \u201cLost Holiday\u201d. Margaret and Henry have returned home to Washington DC for the Christmas holidays but during party things are changing, including mixed feelings and a mysterious case of kidnapping in the neighborhood.<\/p>\n
Among the Italian films at 20:10 will be presented out of competition the film \u201cDi Tutti i Colori\u201d by Max Nardari with a rich cast consisting of Andrea Preti, Olga Pogodina, Nino Frassica, Alessandro Borghi, Paolo Conticini, Giancarlo Giannini, Tosca D\u2019Aquino, Luis Molteni , Pietro De Silva. The director, Andrea Preti and part of the cast will be present at the evening.<\/p>\n
Last of the three Masterclasses of the Festival at 18:00, the meeting \u201cMostrare l\u2019invisibile\u201d with Andrea Maguolo will focus on the contemporary dimension of professional video editing, with an eye to the recent technological developments brought by the digital market.<\/p>\n
